Lineman Training

The Lineman Training program at Northeast Tech provides students with the knowledge and technical skills required to successfully install, maintain, and operate electrical systems to supply electrical energy to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This program also provides the training needed to construct, operate, and maintain power line equipment—all skills students will need to succeed in the electrical distribution industry.

This program is 12 months, and the classes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The course will be a total of 1320 hours. These classes consist of a combination of classroom coursework and hands-on training, ranging from general safety to pole climbing skills and equipment operation.

The annual wage for an electrical lineman is $60,000+ and the job is in high-demand, especially in Northeast Oklahoma.  We started this program at our Pryor Campus to meet the growing need in the workforce.
