Bereavement Leave
All full-time and part-time regular employees are eligible for five (5) days of bereavement leave per occurrence upon the death of an immediate family member. The term “immediate family” is defined to mean husband and wife and the following relatives: father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, and corresponding relatives by affinity (marriage and step relationship).
Bereavement leave shall not be cumulative from one year to the next, and no compensation will be given if not used.
If additional days are needed, the employee may use sick leave.
