As chief personnel officer of the District, the Superintendent of Schools is responsible for the professional assignment of all teachers. This assignment shall be made on a professional basis with such factors as educational background, expertise, and special training of the individual teacher as well as the specific needs of the District being considered.

While on this assignment, each teacher is governed by guidelines established by the Board of Education and delegated authority of the Superintendent of Schools as chief executive officer of the Board, or his/her designee, to which the educator is directly responsible for performing his/her professional duties and applying the specific policies of the Board in his/her contact with students in the classroom.

Teachers hired for one campus will not be transferred to the other campus without mutual consent of both parties.
