Board Policy 3030
Attendance
Students are required to attend 90% of the training hours in which they are enrolled. All time missed (absence, tardy, leave early) is recorded and included in the absence count. Attendance will be periodically checked, and students not meeting 90% attendance may be placed on a probationary attendance contract and a letter sent to the parents and / or student concerning the situation. Failure to meet the conditions of the probationary attendance contract may result in removal from the program. The grade for that period will be an âFâ unless the Campus Director has authorized an exception.
Absences because of related high school activities approved by the high school may be exempt from the required attendance policy. The maximum number of absences allowed for school-related activities shall be ten (10) for each school year. See NT Board Policy 3035.
Parent/guardians are asked to call the Technology Center if their student is absent. Adult students are asked to call the Technology Center when they must be absent.
Excessive tardiness may result in the student being requested to ride the bus to the Technology Center or other disciplinary actions.
All students are asked to check out through the office before leaving campus. Any student who leaves without clearing through the office will be considered truant and subject to disciplinary actions.
A high school student may be released from school if:
The school receives a phone call from the parent/guardian.
The parent/guardian picks the student up at school.
