Oklahoma National Guard and Reserve Tuition Waiver Program

The Oklahoma National Guard and Reserve Tuition Waiver Program is defined as a program for full-time or part-time students who are active members of the Guard or Reserve component of the Armed Forces.

The Board of Education sets forth the following conditions for participation in the Tuition Waiver Program:

  1. An applicant must be an active member of a Guard or Reserve component of the Armed Forces and remain current in all required training during enrollment.

  2. The applicant must reside within the boundaries of Northeast Technology Center District 11.

  3. The applicant must be enrolled and accepted in a full-time or part-time program offered by NTC.

  4. The applicant must certify and have his unit representative’s certification for each enrollment period; i.e., semester or course.

  5. The benefits of this program do not include special classroom or lab fees or the cost of required textbooks, clothing or other equipment.

  6. The benefits terminate after one year of full-time attendance in a full-time program; two years of half-time attendance in a full-time program or after not more than one year of short-term courses that lead toward a specific set of skills; i.e., computer maintenance, machining, or auto collision repair.
