Duties of the Officers
It is the duty of the Board to establish rules and guidelines under which the School District will operate as complete school system. In accomplishing this, the Board shall be guided by the elected officers whose duties are listed below:
President – “It shall be the duty of the president to preside at meetings of the Board of Education, to appoint all committees whose appointment is not otherwise provided for, to sign all warrants ordered by the Board of Education to be drawn upon the treasurer for school money.” Oklahoma Statute 70 – 5 –120.
Vice-President – “It shall be the duty of the Vice-President to perform all duties of the president in case of his/her absence or disability.” Oklahoma Statute 70-5-121.
Clerk – “It shall be the duty of the Clerk to keep an accurate journal of the proceedings of the Board, take charge of the District books and documents, countersign all warrants for school monies drawn upon the treasurer by the Board of Education and perform such other duties as the Board of Education or its committees may require.” Oklahoma Statute 70-5-122.
