Meetings of the Board

The Board of Education shall comply with all requirements of the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act (“OMA”). Regularly scheduled meetings of the Board will be set in December for the next calendar year and shall only be changed as provided by law. The Board president may call for a special meeting, provided all members are notified in advance as prescribed by law. No meeting of the Board of Education shall occur except in compliance with the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.

All meetings of the Board of Education shall be open to the public, provided the Board may convene in executive session as provided by law. The purpose of a meeting of the Board of Education is to conduct the business of the District.

Any individual desiring to address the Board shall fill out a request stating the matter to be discussed and the full name of the person making the request. The card must be received by the Board President prior to the start of the regularly scheduled meeting. The Board President or other presiding officer may limit presentations to three minutes.

The Board will be constituted without permanent standing committees.
