Organization and Composition of the District
Northeast Technology Center is a legally constituted educational body (District) comprised of a number of School Districts in the counties of Craig, Mayes, Ottawa, Delaware, and portions of Nowata, Cherokee, Rogers and Wagoner Counties. In compliance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, the Technology Center District is composed of five zones with a member elected from each zone.
Zone 1 contains Portions of Rogers and Wagoner Counties
Zone 2 contains Portions of Mayes, Cherokee and Wagoner Counties
Zone 3 contains Portions of Craig, Mayes, Nowata and Rogers Counties
Zone 4 contains Ottawa and portions of Craig Counties
Zone 5 contains Delaware and portions of Cherokee Counties
Any legal qualified voter of the above districts is eligible for candidacy and for the election to the Board to serve as representative of the zone of the District in which they reside. New members elected to the Board must be certified before taking office on which date the Board shall be reorganized and officers elected for the ensuing year of service. The Annexation of additional School Districts shall be assigned to a zone in accordance with applicable state guidelines and statutes.
