Affirmative Action Policy
Northeast Technology Center, District No. 11:
It is the policy of the Northeast Technology Center’s District Board and the Administration, to afford equal opportunity for employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, sex, pregnancy, gender, gender expression or identity, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, or genetic information in its programs, services, activities and employment.
Therefore, the Northeast Technology Center’s District will take affirmative action to insure that maximum effort shall be expended in: (1) recruiting, employing and promoting at all assignment levels without regard to race, color, sex, pregnancy, gender, gender expression or identity, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, or genetic information in its programs, services, activities and employment; (2) basing decisions on employment so as to further the principle of equal employment opportunity; (3) insuring that promotion decisions are in accordance with principles of equal employment opportunity; (4) insuring that all personnel actions such as compensations, benefits, in-service education, social and recreational activities will be administered without regard to race, color, sex, pregnancy, gender, gender expression or identity, national origin, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, or genetic information in its programs, services, activities and employment.
The successful achievement of a non-discriminatory employment program requires a maximum of cooperation between management and employees. In order to fulfill its part in this cooperative effort, the Board and Administration (management) are obliged to lead the way by establishing and implementing affirmative procedures equitable employment opportunity for all.
