Career Major Descriptions

Video Production: Students in video production will prepare for a career in video as they develop a professional portfolio showcasing broadcast and video production techniques using state-of-the-art equipment and software. The training offered is designed to align with real-world experience as students prepare for success in this industry. Video students will use industry-standard software, including the entire Adobe Creative Cloud, and work with high-definition cameras, teleprompters, and professional video switchers in both the studio and field setting to produce commercials, documentaries and various other productions. Students will also have the opportunity to earn industry certifications. 

Web Design & Development: Students in the web design and development program will acquire the skills essential for today's fast-paced world of web design. They will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, as well as gain knowledge in graphic design and multiple scripting languages. Students will learn the theory of web design and bring it all together by working on advanced projects for clients in a real-world setting.

Animation & Game Design: Students who choose the animation and video game design career major will explore a multitude of componets including design fundamentals, principles, concepts and the production process of game design. They will also learn the theory behind game design and development and the social impact and history of games. Using a vast array of industry-standard software, students will design and implement 2D and 3D games in a flexible, collaborative work environment.
