Did you know the training you receive at Northeast Technology Center could put you on the fast track toward a college degree? In a cooperative effort between the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education, college credit can be earned though Prior Learning Assessments for an approved license or credential a student achieves while at Northeast Technology Center.
The goals of Prior Learning Assessments are to:
- Value a student’s skills and experience
- Recognize learning outside the traditional classroom
- Reduce student costs
- Improve completion times and improve graduation rates
- Reduce duplication of courses
Depending on your program, your NTC coursework may connect to an Associate Degree in Applied Science at participating in-state and out-of-state colleges. Upon completing 12 credit hours at an institution, provide an NTC transcript and certifications to your college advisor to be reviewed for possible college credit at a reduced cost. College credit hours granted varies by college and NTC program.
