Overview:
Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics.The prestigious Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Regional Center will provide advanced educational opportunities and challenges for students that qualify in the Northeast Tech district. The curriculum is designed to provide an accelerated program that will compliment students’ high school course work in science and math. Students attending OSSM at Northeast Tech will follow the NTC school calendar and may attend courses in the morning (8:30-11:20) or afternoon (12:30-3:20). They will be enrolled in both AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C: Mechanics during the three-hour period and earn math and science high school credits. There is no tuition for students to attend OSSM at Northeast Tech. Textbooks are supplied by OSSM. Students are only responsible for costs associated with school supplies, which includes the TI-83, TI-84, or TI-89 graphing calculator.

Application Process:
Admission to the OSSM Regional Center is a process initiated by a written application, available on this website or from your high school counselor. This application must be submitted to your counselor by the end of March for possible entry into OSSM Regional Center for the following school year.

**Students who have transferred to a new school or students who decided to apply after the deadline can still apply to OSSM**

In addition to your interest in science and mathematics, the admission committee will examine multiple criteria including your standardized test scores, previous grades and coursework (algebra II is the minimum mathematical requirement), academic recommendations (included in the application), self-discipline, personal maturity, motivation, and overall potential as an OSSM student. Semi-finalists will be selected and invited for interviews in mid April. Finalists will be notified of their acceptance into OSSM Regional Center by late April.
