Checklist

Thank you for expressing interest for career training at NTC. This checklist will assist you in the application process. The steps taken for candidacy require close attention to detail. Use this checklist to ensure that all forms, transcripts, and assessment verifications are correctly completed and submitted within the appropriate time frame.

It is critical that you follow the checklist and pay close attention to details and follow all steps carefully.

  • Method 1 - Using Outlook, Outlook express, or some other email software loaded on your local computer
  • Method 2 - Save the document to your local computer and send the application using an internet based email system to the following email address:

  • Legal parent or guardian
  • High school Principal or Counselor

Admissions Requirements

Northeast Technology Center operates under the concept of open enrollment. All persons sixteen years of age or older are eligible for admission. You can enroll at anytime during the year.

Previous Credit

Students entering NTC may be given credit for any previous training or education. The student must provide a transcript of training or education to NTC for evaluation. All credit given will be placed on the student's NTC transcript.

Information

  • Enrollment for the fall semester begins in January.
  • Sessions
    • Morning 8:30 A.M. to 11:30A.M.
    • Afternoon 12:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.
    • All day sessions-Adults
**High School students attending either the morning or afternoon will spend the remainder of the day at their home high school.**

High School Students
  • Can earn 3 elective credits per school year if course requirements are met at their high school. Credits earned are issued by the sending school on the high school transcript.
  • Bus transportation provided from the home high school. Students may also drive their personal vehicles.
  • Students who attend a high school located within the five-county technology district may attend daytime classes free of charge.
Adult Students
  • Adults must submit application and High School Transcript before admittance.
  • Adults living in the NTC district pay tuition fees. Adults outside the district pay double the tuition fees.

College Credit

High School Students:

  1. Sign a Declaration of Intent during Junior or Senior year at NTC;
  2. Student must achieve a minimum grade average of “B” in all course work at NTC;
  3. Complete all college residency criteria required to be admitted to college;
  4. Request NTC transcript to be sent to college;
  5. Upon completion of 12 credit hours as an adult student with a college, the Cooperative Agreement credit will be transcripted.

Adult Students:
Receive college credit while attending NTC by being co-enrolled with a participating college. It is the student’s option to complete the remaining courses with the college to receive a degree.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be obtained at any of Northeast Technology Center’s three campuses (Contact Us) or you can complete the application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov

Scholarships

Any graduating senior of a sending high school that has not completed a program at NTC may apply. Complete the application and submit it to your high school principal or counselor for completion. This application is not complete without a principal’s or counselor’s signature.

Application Criteria:

This scholarship is only valid during the year following high school graduation. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition for a maximum of 1050 hours of instruction.

Who may receive a Thirteenth Year Scholarship:

  1. Any individual graduating from a NTC partner school (Alternative Education included)
  2. Home Educated Students in NTC District
  3. Thunderbird Youth Academy Graduates
  4. Any and all Private or Church School graduates within NTC District.

The award is dependent upon meeting the following criteria:

  1. Having at least a 2.0 GPA on your final high school transcript. (please have final transcript sent to NTC after graduation)
  2. Having no more than four (4) absences during any grading period during the year that the individual is attending NTC.
  3. Maintain at least a “B” grade average in the Career Major chosen by the student.

Not meeting criteria:
Student will be placed on probation for the following grading period that the 13th year scholarship criteria are not met. If a student violates probation the scholarship will be revoked and the student will be responsible for the cost of completing the training.

Scholarship Complete the application and return it with documentation requested to the campus you will be attending.
Application Criteria:
  1. Open to Pryor Campus practical nursing students only.
  2. Five $200 scholarships will be awarded annually in the fall.
  3. Applicants must be in good standing with Northeast Technology Center.
  4. Applicants without any form of financial assistance will receive preference, followed by consideration to applicants receiving the least amount of financial assistance.
  5. Scholarship monies will be paid directly to the student's account at Northeast Technology Center for books and/or supplies.
  6. Applications are due by October 1.
  7. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
  8. The Northeast Technology Foundation scholarship committee will review all applications and will be responsible for selecting the scholarship recipients.

  • To submit the document electronically use your local Email program: (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.)
  • If you use (Yahoo, Hot Mail, Gmail, etc. ) fill out the application, save the document, add as an attachment, send to Health Coordinator
