Home Technology Integration
Career Overview:
In coming years, an explosive growth of career opportunities is predicted for technicians trained to design, install and maintain today's increasingly complex array of high-tech consumer products. The Associate of Home Technology Integration degree curriculum is designed to address this specialized mix of skills and provide students with necessary understanding of computer networking, electricity and wiring, telecommunications, audio/video networks, security and methods of home technology integration.By completing an Associate of Home Technology Integration degree, students will develop an understanding of fundamental aspects of technology such as computer networking, audio/video, home security, appliances, lighting and structural wiring.
Specific skills learned include:
- Setting up home security systems
- Installing sensors, infrared/motion detectors, cameras and control keypads
- Establishing a central control unit for an integrated home network

Full and Half-Time Sessions:
8:30am – 11:30am and 12:30pm to 3:30pmEnrollment open to high school juniors, seniors, and adult students.
