Construction Trades
Career Overview:
The construction industry is one of the largest employers in the country. This course combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to enable graduates to work in either residential or commercial construction. Topics include framing, roofing, siding, trimwork, and blueprint reading. As part of the hands-on training, students will actually build a complete house from the foundation up in this two-year program. The house is then available for sale at the end of the year school auction.College Credits are available from participating colleges and universities. 8:30am – 11:30am and 12:30pm to 3:30pmEnrollment open to high school juniors, seniors, and adult students.
