  • KET101-030 Workforce Staging (TI00802)

    All Students.This course is designed to be delivered as an integrated component within the courses taken by the individual student. The course is designed for the development of leadership, personal development and employability skills. The ARC offers many computer programs and personalized instruction designed to enable the student to attain entry-level basic skills or to advance in his/her chosen field of expertise. Through self-paced, customized programs, the computer opens up the world to the student in areas such as math and science, language, basic competencies, computer education, pre-employment and work maturity skills, resume writing, job application procedures and personal finance. Visits to the ARC are scheduled as a regular part of the course work at Northeast Technology Center.


  • KET102-030 General Construction Safety and First Aid (TI00771)

    All Students.

    General construction safety including tool and equipment safety, blood borne pathogens, CPR, PPE, confined space entry, hazardous materials, and right to know.


  • KET103-030 Electrical Safety (TI00203)

    All StudentsThis course covers safety rules and regulations for electricians, precautions for electrical and mechanical hazards on the job, tool and equipment safety, first aid, CPR, blood borne pathogens, OSHA and NFPA mandated lockout/tag-out, personal protective equipment, right to know, and confined space entry procedures.


  • KET104-120 Electrical Theory (TI00204)

    All Students.This course covers Ohms law and the concepts of electrical theory necessary to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical circuits.


  • KET105-045 Electrical Schematic and Blueprint Reading (TI00772)

    All Students.

    This course prepares the student to interpret standard electrical schematics and construction blueprints.


  • KET106-030 Electrical Power and Hand Tools and Equipment (TI00773)

    All Students.This course covers the safe use, operations, and maintenance of power tools and hand tools used in construction.


  • KET107-060 Direct Current Circuits (TI00774)

    All Students.This course covers electrical theory in DC circuits and develops a student's understanding of the electrical units of volts, ohms, amps, and watts, measurement equipment and methods, interrelationships, and troubleshooting skills.


  • KET108-090 Alternating Current Circuits (TI00168)

    All Students.This course covers electrical theory in AC circuits and develops understanding of generation, amplitude, phase, phase shift, power factor, measurement methods, and troubleshooting skills.


  • KET109-120 National Electrical Code (TI00893)

    All Students.This course prepares the student to locate and interpret specific standards in the NFPAs National Electric Code. Instruction includes load calculations, conductor sizing, conduit fill calculations, and standards for wiring practices.


  • KET110-060 Electrical Distribution (TI00206)

    All Students.

    This course covers the common practices of electrical distribution and the repair and maintenance of distribution systems.

    All Students.This course covers the theory of operation of AC and DC motors, their construction, selection of appropriate motors for specific applications, and feeder calculations.

    All Students.This course covers relays, motor starters, overload sizing, ladder diagrams, and design of complex systems used to control motors in various commercial and industrial applications.


  • KET113-090 Programmable Logic Controllers (TI00777)

    All Students.This course covers the application of programmable logic controllers in various commercial and industrial applications and includes the application of internal relays, timers, counters, and special functions. Analog inputs and outputs are covered.
